When are you going to teach me how to dive for a ball coach?

Asked of me by a age 9 1st year player the very 1st practice and her impish grin on her face . How to look like the players on tv being safe.

Then once they learn how to dive, if they are IF they need to learn how to get up and throw quickl (from either their knees or feet). I did some drills this winter with my 10 YO where I had her start laid out with a ball in her glove and then quickly get to her knees to throw or if she has enough time to get to her feet to throw, to use her arms to push up and try and get her feet under her as quickly as possible. No idea if it did anything since she hasn't actually played a game but she had fun doing it
