What resolution do you record softball games in?

I'm new, and getting into recording my DD's games. I'm curious what the consensus is on resolutions to record in.

I’ve been playing with a few setups over time, but settled on:

Mevo Plus + Boost: 1080 @ 30 FPS. Yes it can go to 4K but you get the wide angle shot and a 90 minute game can get split into two files. At 1080 I can have a single file that easier to upload to YouTube.

GameChanger Team Manager stream: the parents really like the set up for this. I use my IPhone 11 and the 1080 stream is clear with only a few hiccups in bad cell areas.

Do you find that 30FPS captures the action adequately? I recorded my first game last night 1080 @ 60fps. My video files are quite large. I'm using the DJI OSMO action.

GoPro - I do 1440 60fps wide or 2.7k 30fps wide I do it mainly for the ability to cut up highlights for teams sports recruit pages.

30 is sufficient for a “TV-style” broadcast, but considering the camera is fence mounted with only a digital zoom that isn’t bad. If I wanted to do high quality slow motion I would need to switch up to something that could go 60 FPS. My GoPro could do it but the chaptering/multiple files at those resolutions makes it hard for the parents to view later.

With the Hero 8 and above, we record at 2.7K, 60FPS, and render the final video to 1080p. 1080p is a good working resolution for the average computer. But recording in 2.7K allows room to digitally zoom without losing quality.

For the HERO5 (we don't use or recommend the 6 or 7) we record at 1080p.

Recording, 1080p, 30fps.

Streaming, 720p, 30fps. If you are using cellular, this saves bandwidth, and the quality is good enough to watch on a TV. Your Unlimited data plan is probably not unlimited for high speed data... A two hour high school game used up about 3GB of high speed data per game.

Over-time, storage becomes an issue. My current PC has 7TB of disk space, and I will likely have to add more soon.
