From our experience, the exposure camps were far less valuable than the camps on campus. We really just did the exposure camps so that the schools that DD was interested in knew she was doing them. I think you might be better off to talk to your DD about her interest and create a group of schools that meet her criteria and then try to attend those camps when they hold them on campus.
I also wouldn't worry too much about polished versus not. One thing that my DD heard when she received an offer is that the coaches liked seeing the progress she had made over time. They never would have seen this if we hadn't started her going to camps early.
