Oh, you’re right, it’s turned into more of collectible hobby than actually using them! And like your Quatro, I use my All-Star CMW3000 mitt probably 90% of the time. Now I only go after rare, odd, custom or exclusives with the occasional glove I can’t turn down like that RV1961 I just re-laced in tan. I’ve got my sights on a custom in the near future and a couple of very odd exclusives I’m working on then I plan on slowing way down
I tell my wife I could be smoking crack, worse things I could be spending my money on than ball gloves! One more thing, I’m a glove puppy compared to the majority on those guys over at SoftballFans, some serious serious glove hoarders over there!

Please expound on your Quatro Pro comment, you like it that much? For some reason I was hell bent on buying Anna a new bat even though she didn’t really want a new one.....LXT girl! Started to buy a Ghost but our HS HC got a team 33/23 Ghost for any and everyone to use. It really REALLY helped some of our girls and Anna hit it good, actually she hit really good with it, she just heavily preferred the sound and feel of the LXT.
So back to my question, what’s your opinion of the QP and what’s the most recent bat you’re comparing it to?
I bought DD the new Ghost for her last year of TB when they were first released. She loved it so much that I bought her a back-up and sent them with her to play in college. Since I had my TB team and we continued to practice year round, I decided I wanted a bat of my very own after 15 years of using her hand-me-down bats. So I had core send me a 34/25 Q-Pro. This thing is HOT!
DD helped me coach my TB team over Summer. One day before practice at our field, I got out my bucket of brand new Dudley's and tanner tee and put the tee on home plate. DD and I tried hitting OTF HR's with both her Ghost and my Q-Pro. Observations: I hit 5 over with the Q-Pro as opposed to 3 over with the Ghost. DD hit 4 and 4. The reason I wanted DD to swing both is because her Ghosts are 34/26. This could account for the disparity of my HR's while hers were identical in number. For both, we had a tad more distance on mishits with the Q-Pro. Overall, our mishits went on average about 10 feet longer.
I absolutely love the feel of the the Q-Pro and swing it as often as possible. Sometimes I look for drills just to hit it during TB practices
While DD liked the feel of the Q-Pro, she preferred her Ghosts. Of course, this could be due to the weight difference since she grew up a metalhead and has always swung heavy bats. As usual, it comes down to personal preference. Hope this helps.
Thanks YOCOACH, back in June on vacation, I went to the Myrtle Beach Rawlings outlet twice, both times I carried around and played around with a QP while walking around the store. Of course my main interest was the gloves, that’s definitely why I was there.
The manager there was a super nice kid, willing to make some great deals, especially on the leftover 2017 Quatros! Had there been a place for me to actually hit/try the QP, who knows, I may have brought one home? I may have to revisit that thought pretty soon.
