She has been working really hard to make the corrections. We know she has a ways to go, but wanted to give an update. Please let me know how you think she is progressing. Again, thanks in advance.

She is improving... I would suggest looking at this point of the release. There are a few things that can be tweaked some. First I would look at her frot leg. Try to have her land at a little less of an angle to help firm up that front side. Second I would try to gets the hips and shoulders lined up at release( she is a little to open in her lower half.) And third probably not a big concern but her glove arm should be finishing down. In other words it should come down in conjunction with the pitching arm. These are just a few things I noticed but I'm no pc just a bucket dad..

Thanks, as for the glove. She use to swim a lot, so her PC had her do the drill where she points the glove at the target. She actually liked it, so the PC said as she should just keep her glove up. I thought it was strange. What does she lose by not bringing the glove down?

Lookin' good.

How did you get around the "No Softball in the House!!!" rule, by the way?

HaHa. took over my basement for sure. The wife is definitely not happy. Kinda progressed from, no ball, to tennis ball, to indoor ball, to bow net with real ball and holes in the wall over time.

Nice improvements! If my DD was that age again I would get her started on core exercises and running sprints as early as possible.

Mechanics aside what are you being taught on how to create power?

As far as speed goes she is pretty low for her age. She might have tried to get control and pitch before she learned how to throw underhand.

Mechanics wise I think she isn't firming up the front side/leg to catapult/whip the arm. You want to block, crack the whip with a stable front leg and shoulder.
