I think that is the total prize money and there are 8 winners per age group with payouts TBD as it says on the event page:
Winners of each age group will probably still get a decent chunk of change though

Sounds like something I do NOT want to umpire. I don't do cash prize tournaments - money makes people even more maniacal.

I hate these cash prize tournaments. Some of these travel ball coaches are bad enough already based solely on their ego and their outsized desire to win a trophy. Add money to the prize pool and it will only make them worse.

I've seen a decent number of Top Club 18U/16U games, which has cash payouts, and things have been fairly tame when I have gone. There are also a lot of P5 coaches mulling around so that might cause (some) people to act a little better than they normally would...
