Any suggested exercises for off season conditioning for umpires?? One of our more senior umpires suggested working on the pivots for the base coverage and squats. I've been doing some dumbbell squats with a swiss ball between my back and the wall.

Yes, this is certainly a good exercise. Squatting is part of what umps do all the time.

Finally, I would say that just general fitness overall is important for umpires.
