Just look at them! I'd probably put on rubber gloves before I'd pick one of those up! NASTY!
First. Her glove isn't a first baseman's mitt, but it is big enough. It looks like there are times where if a thrown ball hits the glove in a certain spot, it's going to slip out. I do think a more skilled player could hang onto them, but It does seem to be mostly a glove issue.

If we want to get into smelly gloves, there wasn't anything worse smelling than my batting gloves after a summer of hitting 200+ balls every day
