Throwing. I get it Austin Wasserman’s book is the gold standard. I have it, I’ve read it, I’ve tried to use it as much as possible.

My question is how do you go about teaching these mechanics both at the younger ages where most of the technical explanations are confusing and at older ages where habits are ingrained? Specifically run into a lot of confusion about the arm behind the head cue in the basics drills, I’m finding my get players getting a little too stiff and awkward. My default always is to make sure players feel athletic but most I’ve worked with struggle with this part of their throwing mechanics.

Going through the High Level Throwing youtube to see if I can find the arm behind the head cue.

Found these two that show one of the greatest challenges for youth players. It is not easy for them to do the same thing two times in a row. You can try to coach it out of them or just enjoy it (lot's of funny things can happen) and accentuate the positive.

Couldn't find anything. These are three videos from another instructor that may help you communicate with the kids. He has a lot out on youtube under Snap Softball.
