Start of 1st year 12u season

First tournament in the bag.DD showed some promise. No strike outs, so that's a confidence booster. Mostly grounded out, but making progress. Overall movements were pretty good imo.

Going to try to and get her out of neck slot to free the hands up.

Thanks, I hope she feels more confident going into the weekend. Once she gets a couple really solid hits, I think things will start to click more

We start this weekend.

Some definite improvement this weekend. Started making much better contact and hitting the ball hard, timing even improved. Hopefully DD starts finding a groove. This was even against better pitching.

I think so too. Yeah, the wind was rediculous.

It was the first time she said she was proud of herself. Not just playing wise, but emotional wise. She has had a rough time with being overly nervous. So I couldn't ask for anything more than that.

Same here in Stl. Wind was a mess, flyball to right was caught by the 2b... at 2b.

Lol, happened to us a few times.

It's getting a bit better each live game. Main big thing is timing., But she improved a lot over the weekend in that area. And it was against pretty decent pitching.

The swing looks good. Hard to tell, but she looks like she is dead still in her stance. Most hitters have what I call an “internal rocking mechanism”, or a little waggle in their stance. Has she ever played with that?
