I was wondering if anybody was playing in the JO Cup this week? The wife was a scorekeeper yesterday with DD and I going down to watch games being played. DD did get a chance to pick some D1 coach's brains yesterday which was fun! We plan on being back down Friday night and Saturday morning for the games.

We are playing 18U. We actually have 2 local St Louis players picking up with us. We lost 1 pitcher and 2 SS's due to injuries in the last week!

I hope you all have fun. You are playing at Chesterfield where a huge tournament is held at the end of the fall. You are 45 minutes from my house and my dd played there a lot. BB's team is playing in the PGF in Peoria.

Unfortunately, DD's team did not make it to Friday. I will say this. USA Softball did a wonderful job with this tourney. Chesterfield is an awesome complex. St Louis was not a place I thought of as a place to plan a vacation around, but we have found all kinds of things to do here. (The Arch, Delmar Loop, Meramec Caverns, zip lining, River city Rascals minor league baseball, The Cardinals, Casinos). The weather turned out to be great too.

We love the complex at Chesterfield. Also, you are correct, there is a lot to do in St. Louis. Just across the river, you could have gone to Cahokia Mounds as well. The Arch just opened up the new complex. I have not been there yet. The Delmar Loop is a neat place and you can get all kinds of foods and different experiences. We have a friend who's in-laws run a Bosnia food place there. You could have gone to the Zoo, Magic House and Science Center as well.
