I am an optometrist and I have hundreds of patients in many different modes for vision correction. RecSpecs and Oakley glasses (impact resistant frames and designed for sports), contact lenses, and orthokeratology/corneal reshaping lenses (they correct low to moderate amounts of nearsightedness and astigmatism by reshaping they cornea while sleeping, need to be worn each night).

My suggestion is to ask your optometrist what they recommend for her prescription and softball!

My DD just wears her regular glasses. They are transitions. It is really best to have a pair of sunglasses too because transitions don work well in low UV settings...right before sunset or right after sunrise. She always wears a face mask and she honestly hits better then when we used sports glasses.

If you absolutely think you need them do yourself a favor and go to Walmart. They are much cheaper for the same thing as Rec Specs. They are even made by the same company.
