Decide what?

EV is the collective output of all the input factors including weight and bat speed. If you want to know what works best for you, measure EV, sort them high to low, then go down the list until you find one that you are confident you can swing well or has the best feel. That's the bat.

I was speaking specifically to the decision to go up in size. I see parents who either move their DD up too soon or leave them down in size for too long because they don't know how to decide when to progress. EV is something I always look at when DD is getting a new bat but there are many factors that can impact that. When it comes down to it, if your DD can't generate the same bat speed with a bigger bat, she probably shouldn't be moving up.

Not compairing equal to equal.

What i commented toward is
AT WHAT POINT does the strength of the batter apply more force at impact.
More or less resistance.

Both fatigue or strength
Driving threw at contact are relevant.
( not just mechanics,
Rather be able to not only swing at a rate of speed but also keep that speed threw contact)
More or less resistance.

There is the weight element of the ball.
And core.

I'm not sure I follow you. Are you saying that if 2 identical kids swing the same bat at the same ball at the same speed of impact that the stronger kid will hit it farther because he drives through it?

Did you notice i wrote

You then said identical again.

I am speaking to another element in hitting
Strength vs. Fatigue or weakness.
To this at contact point...
A lagging barrel some may say is a timing issue.
However others will say have to be able to force barrel threw.
Some batters are weaker because they can get jammed and hit flails because they are physically weaker.
Other batters can power threw.
Especially little kids
The weight of the ball is an element.
It is why some people USE weighted balls to train with.

ADD
THIS REMINDS ME
Of another discussion on where exactly to put the tee. Because some people strike the ball harder in one place in their swing, then would others
a different sweet spot!
~ mechanics.

All well and good!

But not everyone leads barrel to the ball like that!

My discussion points are bringing up variances to why #'s differ.

Nothing really about swing speed 💁

Enjoy

I’m not trying to argue - I’m just confused. You asked “at what point does the strength of the batter at contact matter” and I said “it does not matter.” The only variables in the force equation are mass and acceleration.

...simply there is more to hitting the ball hard...than swinging a bat fast at it.
Have made several discussion points regarding the variables to exit speed.
AKA= hitting the ball hard.
And even commented i was
not commenting to bat speeds.

I follow you now, but I guess we just disagree (and that’s ok).

Disagree about what?

I never said bat speed doesnt matter or is irrelevant.
Simply added there are factors variables that can affect exit speed.
