I use a lot of simple, 4 letter words but I make sure dd can't hear them

I use that one so often, they the kids don't even come to me unless they can't find their mother!!!

In all seriousness I have found the most useful simple words for my DD are

 

[TMD]

"Get a hit or you're walking home"

actually, any words simple or otherwise yelled at a batter during an at-bat are only meaningful to the person yelling them. Back in my coaching days, I always told my batters to tune out the noise and chatter, stop over-thinking, and do your thing. Simple reminders and words of wisdom are fine during BP or warm-ups, and certainly there will be teachable moments after the at-bat, but during it, just let them do their thing.
