Should you have catcher's set up?

We played a team coached by a D1 Asst Coach and she would yell "Turn on it" for an inside Pitch, or "Go with it" for an Outside pitch..... we started setting up opposite the tru location to slow her batters.. worked, then we alternated when we would setup opposite or not to keep them honest...... she got the idea.....
** I agree, it is part of the game, whether we like it or not, thus the reason we have varying indicators or touches for signs. Same as picking a throw-down sign, same as baseball picks signs, same as football coaches SCOUTing includes picking playcalls.. especially for Blitzes....

Sluggers, I just noticed this weekend that the catcher in the NCAA trny, do not give a target. In some cases the glove is almost on the catcher's knee.

In MLB, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

Why don't the catchers give a target?
