i'm really sorry for posting so much, but one of my coaches wants me to use a short bat to do top-hand drills with one hand while kneeling. it has to be short since when i choke up on a regular bat, the shaft gets in the way. i found a number of wood and other gimmicky short/stub/mule bats online but i haven't seen any aluminum ones online. but i know they exist since we used them at a clinic a few weeks ago. does anyone know what they are called so i can look them up? thanks!

We do not use bats for one hand drills. I would agree if you are then I would use a T ball bat to prevent injury to your arm. We use PVC hitting sticks and use Tennis balls for our one hand drills. The only drill we use kneeling is an extension drill, so we use a regular bat. This is to help those that roll the wrists go to correct extension- finsih after contact and we take the legs out of the swing to work on this one area. These drills are all taught the Bustos's hitting coach. Many are used by team USA.
