Two outs runner on second only. Batter hits hard ground ball towards left side of second. Girl runs into ss. Interference is called on runner.

The batter would have been safe if runner would have just held on second.

How would you score batter....And why?

I believe (about 90% sure on this one) it's scored as a "fielders choice" because an out was made on the play. Whether the batter would have been safe or not doesn't matter.

FWIW, in MLB The official scorer shall not credit a base hit when a runner is called out for interference with a fielder attempting to field a batted ball, unless in the scorer’s judgment the batter-runner would have been safe had the interference not occurred.

Otherwise it shall be recorded as "awarded 1b for interference", and is NOT an a bat.

NFHS rules state "When a runner is called out for interference, the batter-runner is awarded first base and credited with a fielder's
choice."

NCAA: "When a base runner(s) is called out for interference, the batter-runner is awarded first base. If the official scorer judges the batted ball would have been a hit, the batter is credited with a base hit, but if not, it is scored as a fielder’s choice."

So in the OP scenario, FC to batter.
