A round robin, I think, is when you have a pool of 4-5 teams who take turns playing each other in one day. The points are accumulated by Wins, Losses, Runs Scored, Runs Allowed...depends on what is agreed upon prior to tournament...that is if awards are being distributed to 1st/2nd place teams. Sometimes, no awards, and it's just about playing good ole softball. :)

Agree, but after the Round Robin the top 2 "points" teams play a championship game. One game................. winner take all.

What is round robin softball?

Round robin is when brackets/divisions are created and each team plays the other in the same division the same number of times. Sometimes this is a system used to seed teams into an elimination round, sometime it is just the entire tournament with the champion is the team with the best record (and tie breaking advantages, if nec.)
