Not sure where to post this, Rawlings is buying easton. Wondering if rawlings is trying to build a monopoly in the baseball and softball pushing out Wilson and Mizuno.

Compass may say they aren't planning on flipping Marucci (as long as it grows) but don't kid yourself, a private equity firm is all about the $$$

I would think it's more about survival for Rawlings, Wilson has a pretty big share of the bat market, and a decent share of the glove market. (Not to mention the protective gear market) Rawlings not so much in the bat market, getting Easton allows them to compete in more market segments.
