The point isn't that you can hit it before it breaks. The point is you hit it before it's fully 'broke'. Yes it doesn't 'turn left' at the plate, but it is in the act of breaking and you have a better chance up front. And college players do hit from the front. Some don't but many do. And no one said to move up for rise balls and back for fast balls. Just move up. And you have a better chance your ball will be fair than foul. That's geometry. No advantage to being back in the box.

all this info i guess talking to her more and getting in her head to find out was is going on in there at the plate. practice is machine and live but more machine

Insignificant

Probably Psychological. The difference at those speeds is insignificant. At 90 mph the difference is 23/1000 of a second.
