Does anyone have experience with the Perfect Pitcher pitching machine that throws wiffle golf balls? IF so can you give me some feedback on it? Thanks.
I am thinking about buying one for my dd....

I own one and I like it. However, It sounds better than it is.

Pros
- Very light and portable
- Long-lasting built-in battery (and charge quickly) - no need to buy batteries or plug it to work
- Can hold a 100 balls or so.
- Good for eye training
- No need to have a feeder or coach around
- Challenging

Cons
- Can be difficult to align sometimes
- Got variable speeds and movement on a model but indications to set them up not very clear
- Need to get a tripod (not included but any regular tripod works)
- Ball holder is fragile
- Golf whiffle balls get stuck sometimes
- Trajectory of ball (similar to baseball - goes up before it comes down)

All in all, I am happy with it and I recommend it. I like any tool that I can set and forget - replaces a coach. And you don't need to feed the machines every 2 seconds.

It sounds better than it really is but it works well and can be a useful tool to refine hitting. The best thing is how portable it is and the little space it requires.

Thanks for the feedback Marc. what distance do you set it up from the hitter?
Can it be used indoors?

I have one also and agree with everything Marc had to say. One other con is that when using outside if you have any amount of wind blowing it makes it difficult to throw consistant strikes. Works best inside a garage or with no wind.

Thanks Dan I will keep that in mind...It should still be fun and my DD and I can take turns hitting....I was kind of hoping to use it indoors if my wife doesn't mind...TM:)

I have one too and I like it. My only issue is the wind. I have to use it outdoors and the way our houses are situated enhances the wind that blows around our house. Therefore we don't use it a lot, but I'd use it more if I could and it definitely has helped my DD.

Now that I think of it, it is time to bring it out again.

The distance away from the batter affects the speed of the ball to the batter. 15' away is something like 90+mph.

My DD's use their game bats with this, I haven't tried the gro-bat. I do have a 1.25" dia halfball bat that I have them try sometimes. Great for coordination/getting the bat to the ball but too light.

If you want more golfballs, order theirs. don't try to buy a bag cheap at a local store. They won't be exactly the same and won't work (bad or wild pitch). The balls they supply are good quality, heavy plastic.

I also have one; I like to set it up in the racquetball court at our local Y. I agree with all posts above.

I saw this and decided to make my own.

Bought a $40 Black and decker electric leaf blower.
Put on a 1.5: PVC "Y" fitting using a rubber sleeve
Set it on a char and feed it through the top of the Y.
This model has an adjustable air force so I can change speeds without moving it.

It is a bit noisy in the garage but works great. Plus when it's not shooting golf balls we use it to blow out the garage.

Forgot to say for a bat I use a wood flag pole (decoration type flags) that I cut down to 30 inches. Then wrapped one side with foam pipe insulation and used athletic tape on the other for the handle.

I use that bat for the girls with or with out the machine.
