Purchased one for DD years ago which the light did not work, I don't have any experience with one with a light, I did let her use it in her room to catch balls thrown from it to increase her reaction time and increase her eye for curves and other movement pitches. The one we had or we still have it, the green top that turned and feed the balls into the hopper, the shaft final cracked after years of use and after several attempts to repair were unsuccessful, it just sits in the closet.
Hopefully ours lasts awhile...it seems pretty good at staying in the strike zone hitting all areas... I heard the MaxBP is better quality but it does cost a lot more. I bought it just because it throws a lot faster and more accurate then me if I set it at the fastest speed and about at 25-30 feet in the garage. It's way too windy for me to use outside though.
