Our school district created a “summer sports fitness program”. They made it a “pilot program” and offered it only to male student athletes.

What really irritated me is the athletic director (a total knucklehead) and a male board member carried on about how they “wanted to make sure everyone that wanted to attend” could. They left off the part about anyone could attend that was male....

Thoughts from a Title IX perspective?

If it’s on school grounds either females have to have an equivalent facility or access to the existing facility. Get a petition signed by as many female parents as possible and submit it to the school board and see what they say. Next move is to hire an attorney. In my experience softball facilities have not been equal to baseball facilities and that’s a crock

or simply have the girls sign up and show up, and invite local media to attend.

Mention the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights. That should solve it if they have any common sense.

If they refuse Google it and you can file a complaint online. It’s free.
