Hello there. I was a lurker last year, but with my daughter playing 14U travel ball, I wanted to get more educated on things. I have already gained some valuable insights (i.e. it might make more sense getting her batting lessons than spending $500 on a bat), and the site was also helpful with identifying the best price/value used bats out there in the market. I went through this process with my older son (who played both HS and travel ball), so some of this is familiar to me. Since my daughter's middle school has no team, playing travel ball is giving her some valuable experience - although playing tournament games after midnight does seem a little ridiculous!

Playing games after midnight is ridiculous. Never done that. Rain delay?

Philly suburbs here as well. Playing over the winter means games under a dome. There are many “midnight madness” tournaments in our area that start at 8:00 pm and play a championship game at 1:00 am. It’s a thing here.
