AD or anyone, this glove 4sale locally claiming new $50. Cant find much about, any info or opinion. Almost seems too good, right? Can't find but one image and no info, model maybye pro 1006 bfw. Not sure of size. Also in market for OF glove, this may be little small.

I had to look this one up! Interesting, funky heel lace, I’d imagine with that wrist protector and it’s 12” size.....pitchers glove? Yeah maybe too small for an OF glove.

I for some reason was able to find a few things on Google this morning. Seems very old, circa 96. Think thats right?. Maybe was bought and never used. Any concerns what to look for in an old glove? If its legit may be worth picking up. Found these

One of those mentions 12.75 size, thought I read somewhere else that the 6 in the model number meant size12

Blackhorse code HEC01, and please don't quote me for truth, these codes can be very confusing!

H = 1996.
EC = 04 month = April.
01 = Horween tannery.......this one I'm sure of!

Now the model, Pro1006, sorry but no clue there, never seen one before! Of those two links you referenced, one says 12" and one says 12.75", which is it?

Depending on what you can get it for, it may be worth the price of admission for the ROUND "R" patch alone!!! And obviously the early USA built Horween leather! Pretty cool glove you found jmatw!

Collectors will pay big money for early Horween gloves with the round (not oval) patch!

I'll try to work on the Pro1006 model when I get some time today.

You're correct, the 6 in the model should be a 12" glove. But what I don't understand is the B directly behind the 6? After the model number (Pro1006) the next digit is always the web, a 3 would indicate a basket web, I guess in this case the B stands for basket??

The last two letters indicate sometimes the color, and sometimes the back of the glove, F = fastback and C = conventional back. So what's the W?? Women? Wrist protector? I'm out, my head hurts!

Buy it, it's looks like it may be the only one in the World!

So we'll say............ :rolleyes:
Pro1006 BFW

Pro100 - 100 series?.........not familiar with it!
6 = 12" size.
B = Basket web.
F = Fastback shell.
And W = Women's glove with a Wrist protector?? Joking on this one cause I'm sure I'm wrong!

Lol, there is one listed on there for like 275

In theory it is mine for $50.

Lady worked at Rawlings back in the day and never got around to using it. Found it when going to move. If I get it tonight as planned will post pics. If I get mugged I'll let you know that too.

What is the Fastback Shell mean? I've seen a couple say they dont like them, but I have no idea what that means.

Lady did say she was a pitcher so I think thats what the weist protector is. I think its just laced on and can easily be removed.

Fastback is the solid back of the glove with just the one finger (index) hole opening, conventional back is the large opening where you can see all of the back of your fingers / knuckles.

Got it $50. Now have to go back and look at posts on how to break this thing in. I can't hardly close at all. DD cant make it budge. Nice lady, she worked for Rawlings in 90s and got it for herself. Just been sitting in a box for 20-23 years. I guess it maybe seems a little "dry" and hard. Likely made in Ava, MO. Got to decide what to do with the wrist guard. I hate to cut it, kinda makes it unique. Then the lacing would be lose. But looks like a lot of lace work to get it off and relaced.
