One ump and leaving early

I coached in a rec league one year where one of the coaches had his girls leaving on first movement by the pitcher. In preparation for our second game against this team I had my pitcher work on a slow motion delivery where she would start and then dramatically slow down her motion. She would basically bowl the ball to the plate on the ground. I informed the ump before the game that we were going to do this and explained to him why. The first runner was probably 10 steps off the bag on release and an easy call for the ump. He understood what were doing and was able to keep an eye on the runners after that.
