Guys,

I have an opportunity to bring my daughter to a indoor facility to do practice. I'm trying to find a good 30 min fielding plan to have her do. She is 8yr old. Thanks in Advance for the help.

At 8yo, focus on fundamentals - body position, glove position, and good footwork into the throw. Ground balls right at her, ground balls to her left, ground balls to her right. Depending on her skill/comfort level with fly balls, you can vary the locations on those, too. If fly balls are still a bit anxiety-producing, keep it simple. For players this young, lots of reps are very important.

That's along the lines of what I was thinking. A lot of reps on just fundamentals. I figured:

Proper Catching and Throwing - Play Catch (To me the greatest drill ever)
Grounders - On knees - Backhand, center and glove side
Grounders - Standing up (Focusing on foot work - Ex. Right foot then left during approach) Glove out front etc.
She loves Pop fly's: Drop step Left and Right and then Center
Catch ball on move left and right (Me tossing from short distance)

Do you think rounding the ball is too much at this age?

Here is what I currently do inside with my 9 YO DD (she currently is MI, primarily SS for now). The order presented is the progression I use.

(short hops, in front, backhand and forehand starting around 1:55 of video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDwFdR4gluQ

I'll do about 15 or so of each of these and then I will hit her about 20 balls with me sitting on a bucket so you don't get huge hops off of the turf.
Takes about 20-25 minutes unless my 3 YO DS is with us and then gets to take some ground balls as well :D

When we are able to go outside I typically may roll her some first and then just go into me hitting fungoes to her (probably 50-75 balls)
along with popups and then maybe fly balls if she is feeling in the mood.
