My daughter has used both All Star 3000 series gloves. She has used the old one now for three years in college, it is very well broken in and she only uses it for games now (she is currently a senior this year). The newer 3000 series she only uses for bullpen work. In previous years she used the Wilson A2000 and the A2K gloves. Both have good palm pads, but the All Star glove is lighter, more balanced, and easier to catch with on long days. The leather on the All Star glove will last you about three times as long as the Wilson gloves. Typically, the balls pick up a lot of dirt during the games and are very abrasive for the gloves during the game, the All Star gloves handles the abrasions very well and the Wilson gloves will tear on the inside of the baskets. The only downside of the All Star gloves is that they take a long time to break in, once that's done you will have one of the best catching gloves out there, and no hand sting (light is right). I have no affiliation with All Star, but they are an extremely good company to do business with. All her catching gear is All Star.
