At least Happy Thanksgiving.

We have a few feet of snow here at the North Pole.

I am a parent, coach, umpire and have been reading the forum for a while. Decided to join in order to ask some questions of the gurus and other experienced folks here.

I look forward to learning a lot as I take on this softball journey.

Well we go outside at -20F all winter to hit and throw. Below that and we come inside.
Field is covered with snow from September through the first week of May.

May is high school season. June and July is the rec season. And that is it.
Games are played at 10-40F. State tournament can get up to 50-55F on a sunny good year.
End of summer July might get up to 70-75 but that is pushing it.

My daughters are unusual in that we travel over 100,000 miles a year to train and play in tournaments and showcases.
