You have a well known softball school in town. Go to a practice and see if you can get a pitcher to give your kid lessons, contact the coach for a referral. Kids could stand to make a little easy money.

There are several really good 12u TB teams around the Baton Rouge area if your willing to make the drive. I am currently looking for a 10u TB team around the tangipahoa parish area for my DD as well. I was referred to the link below o help find a team and it has been pretty helpful.
