Coach Woodard said he didn't notice a pattern and if he did he would've took appropriate action.
Are we surprised that a guy that would do this is effectively throwing a HS kid under the bus?? I am not..

I run into people like this all the time in Academia (e.g. 3/4 of the Administrators at OU..). Weasels that will do anything to get ahead and then when you call them out will lie straight to your face like you are stupid..At least in this case the Weasel has to answer to somebody other than a Weasel President and/or Board of Regents..

Not surprising that very little happened after an "investigation".

Looks like the biggest penalty will come from being in the public eye. The head coach has a modified continuing career. I didn't see any mention if the the catcher was going to continue as a college player.

Maybe the girl and family of the batter that was injured have a claim and a better one with the investigation's decision.
