My DD is just getting ready to come back after wrist surgery. She is saying that her catchers mitt is too heavy and she's worried about being able to use it. I was hoping someone had a recommendation of a light mitt that could be easily broken in for her? She is 16 and currently has a Muzuno Samurai. it is just way to stiff and heavy right now. Thanks in advance!

What level of play is she at? If she's playing 16U travel ball I'd expect her to be seeing some pretty decent pitching, stiff and a little heavier (think durable and more protection) is what I'd want!

What AD said. At 16 she should be seeing 50+ with every pitcher, often 60+. Light gloves should be a no no. She just needs more time to rehab and build her strength back. Don't rush it.

Great point on the weight issue side of things............but if she thinks that Mizuno is stiff now, a Vinci will be downright laughable!!
