DD has been playing with a travel team since March - she was asked to pick-up with them one tournament which they ended up winning and then they asked her to join. She was also playing rec at the time.
Her rec team ended up winning the end of season tournament back in May which was a nice end to that season. Her travel team just played their last tournament this weekend. It was a tournament where they had no time limits and played full 7 inning games. Won our first three games by run ruling them so never had to play all 7. Championship game we had issues with pitching (injury) so we wound up with lots of walks that put the other team ahead (this was against a team we had run ruled earlier in the day)
DD had a rough start in the first game but she wound up batting 7-10 on the day with 3 walks, no strike outs and lots of good plays at SS. It was a good way to end it for her even if the team didn't win.
She was also asked to pick up with another team for National Championship down in Florida so that's coming up in a couple of weeks. Hoping she does well there! (So she's been practicing with three teams the last couple of weeks - her travel team, HS team and this other team..)
