Aha moment #507 for me was hearing Antonelli describe it as the rear shoulder works UNDER the front shoulder.

"Dont drop your rear shoulder. Swing level" lol

Prepare the body to chop straight down on the ball.... then have the rear shoulder work under the front. This change of direction is where the magic happens.

Partial repayment for that Memorial Day “drive by” pitching lesson 2 years ago. (She still hasn’t fully fixed that sideways push-off... )

Well then, thank you! DD was doing the same thing and we mostly solved it by making sure she wasn't opening too much, which she was, and quickening up the open-close portion. May not be the right way to say it. I wanted more snap in her motion.
