Its a strike when....
The Umpire Calls it a strike!
( yes, and when swing and miss and foul balls)
From a catchers perspective to you....
There is not really a strikezone.
There is an 'area' called a strikezone.
There is the opinion of the area umpires think is a strikezone.
Then there is catchers framing the area called a strikezone.
*Here's the important part....
The plate is just a point of refference.
Not the strikezone!
*Strikes have been called with the softball 2 softballs away from what batters think is the strikezone.
*Have framed these strikes many times and watched batters walk away saying
"That wasnt a strike"
Its a strike when....
