When my DD was that age we got her a used Demarini CF4 on Ebay for $60. It was the beginning of her ongoing Demarini love affair.

Agree with looking for used, if you can't find used a bustos or vendetta by demarini are decent entry level composites that won't break the bank

i think bustos makes a -13.. lighter the better.. and definitely used

She currently has a decent LS lower end composite bat. It is a -13 I believe. I am looking at the CF bats now pretty hard because I am reading how balanced they are. Definatley going to be a -11. I dont think she can handle a -10. She makes good contact and hits the ball well just think a higher end bat will help her by some more pop from the bat. The Mizuno Carbon Pro seem very well liked but I am thinking the most balanced lightest swing weight feel bat I can get her in the -11 will be the ticket. She plays 10U but won't be 9 until end of year. Not that that matters.
