Some took handfuls

Can still remember our outfielder Cissy R. passing them out.
Walked in duggout and a fish was put in our back pocket!

Her dad, an irishman, had an amazing bar/pub in their house.
Yep... walk in the door, turn left, formal dining room was a gorgeous wood bar with all the fixings.
Think we munched on a lot of those fish one time AT A BBQ at their house, and it became a 'thing'!

Since then she has actually asked to be on the bench, after playing one or two innings of 10u outfield, to “rest” because she is tired. Always when some kids are missing and we dont have a bench player. Nobody has said it, and I haven’t asked but I get the impression from a few kids that they are there because thier parents sign them up with no choice.
