Has she grown?
Many times the girls grow and their hips widen. Ie. Start smashing the elbow on the hip.
If she isn’t hitting her hip then I’m not sure what’s up there.
Without video, it's difficult to suggest what is happening, but I think it goes without saying that she is hitting her hipbone. Often times the simple fix is the least intuitive: release closer to the body! In most cases of bruising, the pitcher is releasing too far from the thigh due to either posture, or for fear of contact. If her posture is poor, work on that and let her know it's ok for the inside of the elbow joint to tuck in behind the the soft area of the hipbone and allow the forearm to wrap/roll/brush in the soft area below the hipbone. Almost always, there is instant relief with soft on soft. Again, this is just guessing without seeing her.
