We all spring for insurance for our teams and to play under various organizations.

My question is to coaches/instructors who give individual lessons (pitching, hitting, team clinics, etc) to players outside their own team(s).

Do you take out your own insurance, to protect against injuries to players to whom you are giving lessons? ...whether you instruct out of a facility or your own backyard/garage, do you need insurance?

And if you are willing to share, how much insurance and at what cost? And where do you buy it from?

TKS.

If you are giving lessons on your personal property someone can trip and fall on their own two feet and file a claim against your homeowners insurance. After that your not likely to be able to afford the new rate.

I have a seperate liability policy attached to a umbrella policy. $200 a year for peace of mind from my local agent.
