Infielder's Face Guard

A 15 YO varsity FB player was catching my lesson this morning, for his sister. The mom INSISTED that he wear my gameface. He did, reluctantly. Fifteen minutes into the session, the pitch hit the dirt and hit him right in the mask.

We all laughed, but the point was made.

We bought my dd a mask at the beginning of the season. She didn't see the point in wearing it with her "little" team. When she was at hs practice 2 wks ago, she was shying away from the balls that the coach was zinging her direction. Tons of push ups and sit ups later, I told her to start wearing the mask b/c it would protect her face and teeth. She also got the point and is now watching the line drives coming towards her all the way without pulling her head.
