Daughters team ran into this pitcher at a tourney up here in Canada. Have never seen a pitcher like this before. Arm is doing 2 rotations? Illegal pitch?

I can't tell you if the form is illegal. My question is how fast did she throw and was she effective? Never seen that before.

That is illegal, it is 2 full rotations, and she also took her hand off the ball and then returned it to the ball, also illegal.

Nope. Hands come apart at roughly 12 and she makes one full rotation through 6, back 12, and then releases at 6. 1 1/2 rotations.

Yep on the hands. I commented earlier I thought it was when she was warming up, but I was wrong.

Once batters adjust to the oddness I would think this would make her more hittable with that extra motion to help the batters time her.

I would say legal but awkward. Doesn’t seem to give her an advantage. Maybe throw off the hitters timing a little bit like some MLB pitchers that pause in mid wind-up.
