“If you keep obsessing about negative things, your mind will become conditioned to bring it up more and more often”
I started this with our 12u and and continued with our 14's I've bought for all my players the book "Mentally Tough Teens, developing a winning mindset" by Justin Su'a. It's an easy read and each page takes less than 5 minutes a day. I've asked my players to read a page a day. My players love it, especially in todays 144 character & snapchat world.Approach to hitting, pitching and life...
I'd love to see or hear any other videos, podcasts, books, etc., that people have found useful in maintaining a positive approach and mindset whether it be sports, business, relationships or whatever. What do you have?
An early influence in my life was a book I found buried in an old library table at my parents house (I don't ever remember seeing anyone in my family ever even looking at it back then) but I still have that copy.....The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale
this statement absolutely true, even sometimes when all things aren't equal.Chris8 - thanks for the suggestions! You just refreshed my reading list. The older I get the more convinced I am (all things being equal) the difference in a teams success is working with the muscle between the ears.
