A 100lb middle school kid can hit a ball over a six foot fence at 200-225 feet? Sure...let's see that.

In terms of the 2023 WCWS finals, this is an imaginary problem. 3 HRs total in 14 innings.
It was done before all of the really hot bats hit the market. I had an 11 yr old kid a few years back who cleared a 200' fence with room to spare. Granted it was only one time. But, it can be done.

You should watch more 14U softball. I specifically said 200 feet.

That's a testament to the pitching. Still doesn't mean a mishit should clear the fence.

Plenty of HR from MS kids.. I doubt too many weigh 100 lbs though 😉

My dd hit home runs over a 200 ft. HS fence in 12U. She was not alone.

The majority of HS fields in my area are 200 down the line and 200 to 210 in CF. IMO, a college field should be 210 down the lines and 225 to CF.

Yeah, they look like they're 100 pounds to me, but I still think I look 185, until I see pictures. The camera does add 35 pounds.
I feel the same way every time I catch a glimpse of the bald spot..who the hell is..oh crap that’s me 😒

First, maybe play it somewhere else besides OKC....OU plays a bunch of games there during the season....they really never play away games other than conference games and possibly one tournament...designate neutral sites for the super regional series.

I don’t necessarily disagree that the WCWS venue should be moved around (because it would be good for the game) IF they can find good softball venues but this year they played 5 away tournaments and a midweek game at LSU along with conference games. They only played 19 games at Marita Hynes (along with 4 or 5 non-WCWS games at HOF stadium which isn’t technically their home field..it is about 30 min away from campus ). If you put Super Regional games at neutral sites you are punishing all the top teams ...not just OU.
