Well, I suppose that if I had two fielders equal in all respects, I would take the one who makes top of the wall flying catches, otherwise, whether I think this is an error or not, it is certainly in a different category than a dropped routine fly ball.

We already had this discussion regarding that there are better metrics to judge fielding prowess than fielding percentage

What do you think if the ball is clearly not going over the wall and gets knocked over? That is not a home run that is an assisted situation.

For instance the MLB example was that an error in your opinion?

Depends on the play. There are some I would rule an error, some I would rule a home run.

Aaron Judge showed how it is done last night. Ohtani hit a huge fly ball with hours of flight time. Judge had his back against the center field wall at jumped up to make the catch at around the 8 and 1/2 foot mark.
