Most hitters hit the bottom of the ball against fast pitching because they are late and barrel hasnt had a chance to start working up.
Agree and disagree.. depending on the pitch, more velocity will result in less drop which can cause a hitter who has adjusted to the speed and not to the path to get under and pop it up. However I do agree that hitters who are behind on the pitch will likely bash it into the ground

Elite Level pitchers obviously have great control and velocity. These pitchers typically will not walk very man batters so this definitely comes into play.
1). Be aggressive at the plate as you may see one good pitch to hit per at bat. You are NOT trying to draw a walk from these pitchers.
2). Look for 1st pitch tendencies. They want to work ahead.
3). Front Foot has to get down early! This controls your swing.
4). Shorten your swing. It needs to be compact.
5). Pitcher will bring the power. Just make solid contact.
