I'm an older player(50) who has just started playing men's modified fastpitch. Because you can't windmil, the speed is less, but many pitchers can still bring it. My main problem is hitting changeups. The ball looks the same to me after release, whether a fastball or not. I like to be aggressive and I look to hit every pitch, unless I see it's out of my zone, but I'm having trouble judging the speed of the pitches. I try to keep my weight back but sometimes I still struggle. Can anyone give me some tips?

A pitcher that can throw a good change can be devistating, there is a reason why Jamie Moyer is still pitching in the bigs....

Best offer... if your totally fooled and less than 2 strikes, let it go. If you have 2 strikes attempt to foul it off or because your weight is forward try to punch the ball to the opposite field.
