As an OU fan (hats off to UCLA, they earned and deserved the championship), I would be interested in knowing what the Bruins picked up on Juarez's curve? They were just sitting on it and crushed it every time she elevated it. The number of HR's was just incredible.

One thing you noticed all tournament long was that no one threw a "real" riseball with true back spin, they were all titled up bullet spin fastballs. Effective, as they are thrown at high-60's / low 70's and located well but in no way were optimum spin rotation.

Re: Hillhouse, he would probably say you don't throw riseballs in the later innings in a 1 run game. UCLA got away with it though...

If you listen to the announcers, those riseballs are immune to the laws of physics. 🤣

As long as Michelle Smith is commenting, the laws of physics do not apply.
...and Kelly Barnhill’s drag foot never leaves the ground the whole time. And that replant is an illusion.
She got away with it for 4 years. What is it they say about repeating a lie enough times and it becomes the truth...?
