Hello from Chicago

I am the father of a 9 year old who's now playing a year up, at 10U, for a travel team in the Chicago suburbs. I am an assistant coach on the team and a member of the nonprofit softball organization's board of directors. I helped to coach my son's baseball teams from 10U through 16U, so I've been around a lot of dusty ball fields over the years.

My daughter is a precocious hitter, which is why she's playing up. Hope that continues!

I look forward to reading the forums here, as well as going through other information.
