• 12.5" would be an outfielders glove. For 3rd Base or pitching an 11.75" or 12" glove would be more ideal

• A glove can pretty easily last you several years, my kids 1st base glove is 5 or 6 years old and looks great

• you can have a glove relaced, and in any color(s) you choose and return the glove structurally. Provided there are no tears in the leather and the binding is in decent condition.

• Wilson A2000 is probably the most common level of glove out there, Wilson has raised the MSRP on the glove for 2021 when they released new gloves. Rawlings equivalent would be the Heart of the Hide. Both companies have gloves that are nicer level and lower level but those are 2 of the most common.

• with proper glove care a decent glove's life can be almost limitless. Important things would be to not put the glove away sweaty, brush off the dirt and grit after practice or games, use a good glove conditioner on and in the glove at least a couple times a year, have someone who knows what they're doing relace the glove every 12-18 months

• Hand size/wrist size can be adjusted on most decent gloves, I tend to try to avoid the gloves with velcro wrist closure and with bigger hands/wrist the velcro closures may be tougher to use.

• you dont have to limit yourself to fastpitch gloves there are companies that make hybrid gloves or you can just use baseball gloves, that may be more ideal with a player with larger hands

The glove in these photos has over 5 years of year round travel ball under its belt and after the latest cleaning and relacing looks as good as it did when it had the tags on it
