DD uses the team issued LXT catcher's mitt in college and says it's pretty good, comparable to the All Star mitts she used from 8th-12th grades. She could have used an A2000, but liked the Louisville more.

I also tend to relace her gloves once a year and clean and condition the outside of the gloves as needed (usually once a month or every other month, sometimes after a weekend on those red clay fields in Arizona, Utah and Nevada, I will clean the gloves as soon as we get home.

I get the impression that your daughter's team probably has the best-laced gloves at every tournament.

I would not recommend the sub 100$ Vinci gloves for high school ball, they are really not designed for that for that level of play.

In what way?

I should clarify - sub-100$ fielding gloves - mainly the fortus line for fielders won't hold up long at that level of play, they are designed for more of a youth market, don't get a lot of hand protection from them. One might work for a backup outfield glove, but I wouldnt put one at 3b- the catchers mitt is the exception, as its a beast.
